Contest Day Expectations

Dress Code:
-
Present your best self at all times. We’re representing our community.
-
NO JEANS, SWEATS, EXERCISE CLOTHES, “AT HOME CLOTHES” in performance areas.
-
If you wear a collared shirt, wear a tie. (V-neck sweaters with ties are a great choice.)
-
If you wear a skirt, make sure it’s long enough that you can bend over without worrying. (Leggings instead of tights are a great choice.)
-
Leggings must be paired with tops that fall below the hips.
-
Judges should not be able to see through it, down it, or up it.
-
Hair pulled back: show the judges your wonderful faces.
-
No Marion-branded apparel (let your parents/friends know this as well)

Bring with you:

Cash money for lunch and snacks
-
Brush, make-up, change of clothes
-
Comfy shoes
-
Phone charger
-
Homework/something to do during down time.

At the contest:

Gyms are home base. Keep track of your things in the gym!

Be QUIET and RESPECTFUL in the hallways.

If you’re not performing, watch your team perform - support them!
-
Watch as many other performances as possible, especially juniors, sophomores, and freshman. This is where we get ideas and inspiration for next year.
